Summer Fun!

We spent a lot of time this summer outside. The girls had a lot of fun playing in the water, spraying each other and their parents with the hose, eating Icees and ice cream!

Art Class

Raise up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. - Proverbs.
Hopefully someday my girls will love art as much as I do, and hopefully their skills in the arts will far surpass my own dabbling.

It looks fun but what a mess!

First Day of Preschool

Finally after weeks of anticipation Alexandra started preschool. She had a great time and would go to all day Kindergarten if she could. Today when I saw her and her class in the hallway she totally ignored me. Her teacher was introducing the class to me and one little girl even said "Alexandra, there is your mom." Alexandra looked confused like she never saw me before and wouldn't say anything. Tony told me later that she did the same thing to him. We figure she was pretty sure that if she acknowledged us we would take her home. :) Her classroom is right next to ours but I don't think we have to worry about her coming over and seeing us!

Isn't she cute???

Bunny had to go to preschool too! Thanks Maddie!

Alexandra's Photography

Alexandra has been getting hold of the camera lately so here are several of her pieces of art. Someday she will be as good as Adrian!

Trip Home Via Chicago

We thought why not travel four hours northeast and stop by our friend Eric's place on our way home. It was a good idea in theory but the car ride was getting a little rough. We had to take lots of breaks!
Doesn't it look like these girls just love each other?
Addison is not scared of her older sister one bit.
We went with Eric to Lake Michigan. This is actually at Sand Dunes
National Park in Indiana not too far from Eric's new house.
Addison was the only brave one to take a dip in the freezing cold water.
Alexandra loved making a castle with Eric.
She has begged to go to the beach ever since.

St. Louis Trip

Well, now that I have "permission" to go ahead with this blog I will do my best to get everyone up-to-date. The end of June we all went to St. Louis for Tony's School Leadership Conference. While Tony was in classes all day, we had a lot of fun at my aunt and uncle's house and around St. Louis.

The girls ate a ton of ice cream....

and then would hose off in the backyard.

One day Alexandra and I went to a water park and spent the afternoon swimming and relaxing on the "Lazy River." Another day was spent at the St. Louis Zoo. The three of us did pretty well considering it was hot and then started to rain on our way out of the zoo. The girls had a fun time and slept the 40 minutes back to my aunt and uncle's.
