Sorry it has been so long since I have added to our blog. We have been busy I guess. Here is an example of what we have been doing. Last weekend Tony and I both worked together canning and baking.
Our peach pie turned out pretty well. I made the filling and the crust. Tony helped roll out the crust. Next time we have to make sure the crust is a little thinner. Since we have 12 bags of frozen peaches, I guess we will be able to practice.
Dad gave me some tomotoes from his garden. We canned 6 quarts. This should last until next year because we only use the tomatoes in lasagne. Tony helped me put the jars in the boiling bath otherwise we probably would have gone to the hospital!
These are cinnamon cucumbers. Addison actually loves these. The whole process takes three days but it was pretty fun. I have more jars and cucumbers out in the garage so I better get started on another batch!
The girls and I also made brownies but I forgot to take a picture. We started eating them before they were even cool!

Yummy!!!! I'm so glad you updated your blog! Now I need to get over and do mine, lol! Sounds like you guys are having a great time in the kitchen. Never heard of those Cinnamon Cukes before....interesting. Hey, when is that teacher thing in Lincoln this month? Are the girls coming here that day again? Just let me know and I will make sure the day is open. Okay, off to our blog I go!!
